For 27 years, the Graphics of the Year competition exhibition has been presenting a selection of the best contemporary graphic art by a wide range of not only established artists, but also emerging artists and students. This year the jury selected from 449 works in 15 competition categories.
The exhibition, held under the auspices of the Office of the President of the Republic in the Imperial Stables of Prague Castle, featured 209 works and 21 artists’ books.
This year, representatives of our company were pleased to present the Main Student Prize for Small Format to Johana Jaklová, a second year student at Mensa Gymnasium, for her aquatint print entitled “Black Lives Matter”.
This work was selected by the jury from 56 entries in this category. The judges praised the sensitive mastery of technique and eloquent portrayal of a difficult subject in minimal and clean language.
