ImaWAN: Intelligent IoT Sensor System

With the help of smart sensors, we can monitor various parameters in the environment of your company, production site, hospital, parking lot, or school. Thanks to wireless sensors, installation and measurement is very simple. This in turn can help you save operating costs as well as prevent many risks.

Main advantages of the system

01

Very easy installation and maintenance-free operation

You do not need to worry about the IoT sensors – we will prepare and deliver them for you. All you need to do afterwards is install them in the monitored areas and start measuring. Depending on the type of IoT network (LoRa, SigFox, NB-IoT, etc.), the data you are interested in is available to you almost immediately. For the duration of their life span, the sensors do not require any maintenance from you.

02

You can see the measured values on-line

We will connect the sensors to our visualization application where you will be able to monitor details of the measured values or long-term trends and developments. We can also set limit values – for example, for sensors that measure temperature or CO2 levels in the air. You keep track of everything on-line via charts, so you have a constant overview of what you are interested in.

03

IoT sensors for both schools and companies

Does the term “intelligent system” sound too complicated to you? Do not worry, it is not complicated at all! What is more, the applications for smart sensors and inverters are wide-ranging – we can measure the air quality in a school, business, or production site, the flow of water in a pipe, or how busy a department store parking lot is.

04

Notification in non-standard situations

When a non-standard or unwanted event occurs, the system will notify you about it by SMS or e-mail. In what cases? For example, if limit values are detected, signal is lost, or when the sensor finds itself outside the designated area.

05

Lower labor costs, better working conditions

A few sensors are more than enough to ensure that the lighting is not on unnecessarily in an empty office or that expensive air conditioning does not run in vain. A sensor can monitor when a room needs to be cleaned, when the ventilation needs to be switched on, or even when a crisis is approaching – such as a full car park or dangerous gas limits being exceeded.

06

Our sensors are small and come with low power consumption

Whether it is data traffic or power consumption, the requirements of IoT sensors are incredibly low. For those reasons, they are exceptionally suitable for continuous and long-term monitoring. What is more, the small sensor box can be placed almost anywhere without the use of cables, even where there is no standard data connection.

How does the imaWAN smart sensor system work in practice?

The sensors send a message with the measured value at a certain frequency (e.g. once every 10 minutes or when there is a change of state), which is received by our cloud server.

The data is displayed clearly in graphical form in our on-line application.

Where can smart sensors be used?

CO2, temperature, humidity, dustiness, signal strength

How is the air quality in your school? Is the heating running unnecessarily somewhere?

IoT sensors can help you make your environment more pleasant, save on costs, and alert you to critical levels (e.g. of toxic substances in the air or water).

severs, pipes, air conditioning, chimneys

With an IoT sensor, you will know in time that something is wrong. Early signaling of critical utility load values will alert you to, for example, rapidly dropping water pressure, clogged drains, or a blocked chimney.

Waste storage sites at full capacity

garbage cans, landfills, septic tanks, cesspools

Set the frequency of waste removal or septic tank cleaning according to your real needs.

gas meters, electricity meters, water meters

Remote readings using IoT sensors make it easy to calculate the cost of a particular service without the need of a technician visiting your site.

attendance, flow, overcrowding, room occupancy

Why clean meeting rooms that have not been used this week?

Optimize your processes based on real data on the presence and movement of people.

For example, you may want to cancel an unused stop, change opening hours, or prevent additional entries when the building is at full capacity.

stock levels, traffic load, animal migration

Have enough cars passed over the bridge to validate the need to check its technical condition? When to restock the warehouse? What data should be used to adjust the speed limit in a tunnel? Where do animal colonies migrate to?

Data from our IoT sensors can help you answer all these questions.

Details about imaWAN smart sensors

Basic Characteristics

Analysis of measured data in the cloud

Measured values can be analyzed via interactive charts or tables in our on-line application. Furthermore, you can export the data to CSV, XLS, or PDF.

Maintenance-free operation

Once the sensors are installed, no further action by you is usually necessary. We will hand the sensors to you already prepared for operation and connected to our imaWAN visualization application. After they are switched on, they start collecting data straight away. What is more, our sensors are completely cable-free.

Low energy and data consumption

Depending on the frequency of messages sent, the batteries in our IoT sensors can last even for several years. This is also due to the minimal data consumption of the transmissions – a single message sent over an IoT transmission network (e.g. LoRa) is only a few bytes in size.

What does the deployment of IoT sensors look like in practice?

01

We start by discovering what you need to measure with the sensors and what limit values or notifications we need to set.

02

We prepare IoT sensors for you and enter them into the on-line system.

03

We deploy the sensors to the required locations. There is no need to lay any cables – the sensors are wireless.

04

We start collecting data you can monitor on-line. The data collection is performed automatically at a frequency of your choice.

05

You analyze the measured data yourself from the charts and tables available on-line.

06

We provide you with support to the extent that is required.

Your frequently asked questions

Virtually any with an IoT communication interface, e.g. ones that measure air quality, water meter status, parking lot occupancy, heating/cooling status, etc.

No, imaWAN has its own local IoT network. It is also possible to use the ČRa or NBIoT networks.

How is the operation of the sensors and the imaWAN network paid for?

Payment is conducted based on monthly or annual fees based on the number of connected sensors and for the operation of the imaWAN cloud.

Yes, based on the data exchange between our cloud and your system.

This is a very broad question, but generally, our sensors fit in the palm of your hand. Of course, the size of a particular sensor depends on its intended purpose.

Yes, we can measure e.g. the temperature in the room and turn on/off the air conditioning within the set limit values in our application.
