IMA at SicherheitsExpo Munich: Key Takeaways

Key Takeaways from

  • Access Control,
  • Smart Lockers and
  • Secure Storage

SicherheitsExpo Munich 2026 offered a clear view of what customers and partners are looking for in modern access control: flexible installation, reliable smart locking technologies, secure data handling, and solutions that are easy to understand in practice.

Over two days in Munich, conversations with visitors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland showed strong interest in smart locker systems, battery-powered locks, wireless access technologies, and the growing role of cybersecurity in everyday access management. The event also confirmed that live product demonstrations remain one of the most effective ways to explain how modern access solutions can solve real customer challenges.

Visibility opens the door. Product demonstrations build trust.

We were proud to connect with partners who have noticed IMA on social media and yet needed to test our solution live. That is where the real value begins. People can discover a company online, but they build trust when they see the products in person, ask specific questions, and discuss their own use cases directly with the team.

The strongest interest: lockers, access control, and flexible locking solutions

The main product focus at our booth was clearly on IMA’s smart locker solutions and access control system, especially in combination with battery-powered locks.

IMA offers a flexible and scalable way to manage access in different environments without unnecessary complexity. Whether the topic was secure storage, shared access, employee lockers, or special-use installations, the discussions showed strong interest in solutions that are practical, reliable, and easy to integrate.

Wireless smart locks, biometrics, and cybersecurity as key market topics

One of the clearest signals from SicherheitsExpo was the growing interest in wireless smart lock solutions. Visitors were looking for technologies that can bring more flexibility to access management, reduce installation complexity, and support new types of secure storage and access use cases.

Wireless smart locks are expected to play an important role in the future of access control, alongside biometric solutions that make access even more convenient and user-friendly.

At the same time, cybersecurity remains at the center of it all. Almost every visitor asked about the long-term safety of our solutions, how we protect customer data, and how secure access can remain reliable over time. These conversations confirmed that modern access control is no longer only about opening doors or lockers. It is also about protecting systems, identities, and data.

For IMA, this is a key part of how we design and present our solutions: practical access technologies must be supported by long-term reliability, secure data handling, and trust.

Thank you for meeting us in Munich

We would like to thank everyone who visited the IMA booth at SicherheitsExpo Munich 2026. Every conversation, question, and product demonstration helped us better understand the needs of the market and showed us where our solutions can bring real value.

The key takeaway from Munich is simple: modern marketing helps people discover us. Trade fairs help them understand us. Real products, personal conversations, and practical explanations are what create trust, relevance, and long-term market traction.

Afternoon School Gym Rentals Without Keys or Cards

Employees or students no longer need to carry plastic cards or fobs to their imaLOCKERS. The OSL.03-L series locks now respond to phone taps via NFC, supporting both Android and iPhone systems. Users receive their digital keys remotely, while existing RFID cards remain fully functional with no change to their operation.

As a member of the Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic (AOBP), IMA was part of the “Expected Development of the Aerospace and Defence Industry in the Czech Republic and Worldwide” conference, held in Brno on 27 May 2026.
