About project

The 3Ccar project – “Integrated Components for Complexity Control in Affordable Electrified Cars” is a project from the first call of the new European ECSEL program.

It will deal with vehicle control system architectures in order to achieve a higher degree of driving efficiency. These solutions will be based on new nanoelectronic components and innovatively integrated embedded systems.

IMA will modernize the functional parameters of the on-board control unit (Board Control Unit, BCU) with an orientation towards the use of fast wireless communication protocols í 3G/LTE, which will be applied in V2x systems or in eCALL global vehicle safety systems. The BCU will be equipped with a new interface to accommodate the future Car2Car, Car2Manufacturer, Car2Driver services, which can also be used for remote vehicle monitoring. Such services will also help improve traffic management, accident prevention and accident data processing.
