School Safety: IMA in an Interview for CNN Prima NEWS

School Safety: IMA in an Interview for CNN Prima NEWS

How can we ensure the safety of students and teachers at schools? How can modern technologies help with access control, crisis communication, and the prevention of risky situations?

In an interview for CNN Prima NEWS, Jan Orlický from IMA discussed the current challenges in school safety and how modern identification systems can contribute to the protection of so-called “soft targets,” such as schools.

Every day, we open thousands of doors for more than 100,000 students at Czech schools and universities. Our access control systems, attendance tracking, and smart lockers help improve the safety and operational efficiency of educational institutions.

Main topics of the interview:
✅ Access control as the cornerstone of school safety
✅ Effective crisis communication – why SMS may not be the ideal choice
✅ International inspiration – how are schools in the USA secured?
✅ The role of AI and smart technologies in monitoring safety

School Safety as a Priority

Security technologies for schools are not just about access control systems. We also offer attendance tracking systems (more here) and smart storage lockers (more here), which simplify the management of the school environment.

At the same time, we are contributing to increasing the resilience of critical infrastructure operations within the European SUNRISE project (more here).
