At the end of September, the MOSAIC project was launched in Gdańsk with the participation of all members of the European consortium, of which IMA is a part.
The MOSAIC project aims to achieve European technological independence and digital autonomy in Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) for automated systems, aligning with the EU Chips Act. It will develop next-generation, energy-efficient, and robust cognitive ECS, focusing on integrating diverse perception hardware and fostering interoperability to gain a competitive advantage for European manufacturers.
IMA’s strategic objective within the project MOSAIC is to develop and apply innovations in explainable AI (XAI) for embedded edge AI systems, focusing specifically on the automotive sector. This aligns with IMA’s long-term position as member of WITTE Automotive (Global tier 1 Automotive supplier) and the strategy to provide innovative, reliable, resilient, and interpretable AI systems that meet stringent regulatory and safety requirements.
Employees or students no longer need to carry plastic cards or fobs to their imaLOCKERS. The OSL.03-L series locks now respond to phone taps via NFC, supporting both Android and iPhone systems. Users receive their digital keys remotely, while existing RFID cards remain fully functional with no change to their operation.
IMA was proud to be a Golden Sponsor of the ECCA Conference 2026, held in Prague from 25–27 May 2026 and hosted by the European Campus Card Association together with Czech Technical University.
For IMA, the event was a valuable opportunity to meet partners, universities and industry professionals, and to discuss how access control, digital identity and secure storage solutions can support the changing needs of modern educational institutions.
