The 5th GA meeting of the TRANSFORM project was held on May 15-16, 2024 in Brno and was organized by the Czech project partner BUT (Brno University of Technology). This hybrid meeting took place in the premises of CEITEC BUT (Central European Institute of Technology BUT) and was attended by almost 60 participants, representatives of 34 partners from 7 European countries.

CEITEC is a scientific research center in Brno focused on the field of life sciences, advanced materials and nanotechnology. It was founded in 2011 by a group of six important Brno universities and research institutions and is supported by the South Moravian Region and the city of Brno. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication BUT, which is the largest electrical engineering faculty in the Czech Republic, presented its study programs and areas of research and industrial cooperation. IMA, the second Czech project partner, presented its key products, project and business activities and the potential for collaboration with research and industrial partners.
This followed by a welcome by the project coordinator (Metin Koyuncu, Bosch) and approval of the two-day program.
Given that the TRANSFORM project will end on October 31, 2024, not only the results were presented in Brno, but also preparations were underway for the final assessment of the project.
Over two days, consortium members demonstrated progress on the work packages, analyzed risks and deviations, and discussed/planned the remaining work, both in the six WPs and in the five UCs/demonstrators.
After the presentations, there was a “light” 3rd Review of the project with the Project Officer, which attended by the Project Coordinator, WP and UC leaders and Technical Experts. All PO questions were answered, and recommendations were considered for the Final Review.
The designated time and space for meeting above the posters provided continuous opportunities for participants throughout both days to discuss results with partners and show details of results achieved and work in progress.
After that Summary of 3. Review and of whole GA was held. The participants were informed about the results of the project Review, including recommendations and expectations for the Final Review of the project and the plans for the last period.
At the end, BUT Rector Ladislav Janíček came to greet the participants and introduced them to the history and present of BUT, which was founded in 1899 by the Austrian emperor Franz Josef I.
The next GA meeting will be held in September/October 2024 and the Final Review will be in the week of 9-13 December 2024.
After the meeting, the interested parties viewed the premises and laboratories of the CEITEC BUT Nano Core Facility.
