ZŠ Bílá School in Prague Deploys 250 Smart imaLOCKER Lockers

We have successfully delivered and commissioned a system of 250 smart locker locks powered by imaLOCKER at the new building of ZŠ Bílá School in Prague 6.

Instead of using traditional keys, students unlock their lockers with the same identification credential they use to enter the school building. This eliminates issues related to lost keys, replacement locks, and key administration.

Key benefits of the solution

  • Centralized management of 250 lockers
  • Access to lockers through any of the 20 installed readers
  • Remote assignment and release of lockers
  • Real-time overview of locker occupancy and status
  • Remote locker opening when a credential is forgotten or lost
  • Emergency opening of all lockers within seconds
  • API integration for connection with other school systems

One of the major benefits is simplified mass administration. At the beginning or end of the school year, school administrators can release and reassign hundreds of lockers in just a few clicks, without the need for any physical intervention.

Ready for mobile access

Every educational institution has different operational requirements. For this reason, imaLOCKER can also be extended with NFC mobile access, allowing lockers to be opened using a smartphone.

This functionality is particularly attractive not only for schools, but also for universities, student housing facilities, and office environments.

The implementation at ZŠ Bílá demonstrates how modern technology can simplify daily operations while improving user convenience, flexibility, and security.

Smart technology does not have to be complicated. It simply has to work.

SicherheitsExpo Munich 2026 offered a clear view of what customers and partners are looking for in modern access control: flexible installation, reliable smart locking technologies, secure data handling, and solutions that are easy to understand in practice.

Over two days in Munich, conversations with visitors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland showed strong interest in smart locker systems, battery-powered locks, wireless access technologies, and the growing role of cybersecurity in everyday access management. The event also confirmed that live product demonstrations remain one of the most effective ways to explain how modern access solutions can solve real customer challenges.

SicherheitsExpo 2026 was an important opportunity for IMA to showcase what modern access control can look like when security, product quality, and innovation come together.

On July 1-2, IMA was represented at the show by our DACH sales representative, Christian Friedrich, together with Jaroslav Budka and Žaneta Dubnická.
