Leadership Changes at IMA

Effective October 1, 2026, Ing. Ondřej Marek has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of IMA.

Ondřej previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Authorized Signatory of the company. His deep understanding of IMA’s operations, teams, customers, and business partners provides a strong foundation for his new role. He brings extensive experience in executive leadership, financial management, and operational excellence.

At the same time, commercial power of attorney has been granted to CTO Ing. Michal Kašpárek, DiS., Ph.D., who will continue to be responsible for the company’s technological development and innovation activities.

The changes strengthen leadership continuity and support the further development of IMA. For customers and business partners, cooperation remains unchanged, with ongoing projects, established contacts, and expert teams continuing to provide reliable support.

We wish both colleagues every success in their new roles.

We have successfully delivered and commissioned a system of 250 smart locker locks powered by imaLOCKER at the new building of ZŠ Bílá School in Prague 6.

Instead of using traditional keys, students unlock their lockers with the same identification credential they use to enter the school building. This eliminates issues related to lost keys, replacement locks, and key administration.

Electronic imaLOCKER OSL.03-L locks now support smartphone access via NFC. In addition to RFID cards and tags, users can conveniently unlock lockers using their mobile phones.

SicherheitsExpo Munich 2026 offered a clear view of what customers and partners are looking for in modern access control: flexible installation, reliable smart locking technologies, secure data handling, and solutions that are easy to understand in practice.

Over two days in Munich, conversations with visitors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland showed strong interest in smart locker systems, battery-powered locks, wireless access technologies, and the growing role of cybersecurity in everyday access management. The event also confirmed that live product demonstrations remain one of the most effective ways to explain how modern access solutions can solve real customer challenges.

SicherheitsExpo 2026 was an important opportunity for IMA to showcase what modern access control can look like when security, product quality, and innovation come together.

On July 1-2, IMA was represented at the show by our DACH sales representative, Christian Friedrich, together with Jaroslav Budka and Žaneta Dubnická.
