Food and beverage vending machines fitted with identification systems offer companies and institutions an overview of consumption. They are gradually replacing classic cash-based vending machines and company cafeteria employees. Smart food vending machines have the advantage of providing a precise record of goods sold. They work 24 hours a day and demand no paycheck. Upon using his or her identification card, the employee is served precisely what he or she has ordered, or what the employer’s rules dictate. Our machines are also equipped with a display, so that the employee knows exactly how much money is left in his or her account.
A3 Software
The integrated A3 software continuously monitors the status of the machine and in case of machine or network failure, immediately sends a notification to chosen e-mail addresses. If needed, the list of employees and cards may be synchronized with other company systems (attendance, access control, food, etc.). Data captured from transactions is automatically transferred to the controlling PC either via a serial link through a COM port, or over a LAN via a network connection.
Identification possibilities
Our identification system for vending machines works with many types of identification media. Cards already in use by the enterprise for other purposes (for attendance, the cafeteria, parking, security, etc.) or cards from other vendors may also be used. Contactless RFID cards and chips can be used, as can barcode cards, DALLAS contact chips, or the ID maybe entered directly via the reader’s built-in keyboard.
