SELF-SERVICE INFORMATION KIOSK C1000Y

  • The self-service information kiosk C1000Y is intended for the mediation of electronic information and Internet services on public places.
  • The kiosk is designed to withstand common acts of vandalism. It can be placed in locations with occasional monitoring, for instance in lodge vestibules (showing information on the given company and an attendance summary), hotel lounges (Internet, regional information, advertising) and corridors in administration buildings (showing orders and decrees, electronic contact with public administration).
  • The maintenance of the kiosk is easy. The card reader is designed so that foreign objects, if any, do not prevent cards from being inserted. The keyboard is covered with a film, withstands liquids and is easy to clean.
  • The kiosk is dimensioned for continuous operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • The kiosk can be attached on the wall or installed on a table.

An Internet browser, working in a secured kiosk mode, is the kiosk's basic software. The mentioned mode prevents any unauthorized interference with the kiosk's system by the user. The browser shows Internet pages as well as general electronic documents and advertising. It is configured so as to secure the privacy of the user when the user leaves the kiosk. All of the recorded data are deleted from the kiosk when the user leaves.

For the purposes of paid services it is possible to equip the kiosk with payment programs using magnetic or chip cards (the installation of a chip card reader is a condition). The kiosk works with the operating systems Windows 9X/2000 and Linux.

The kiosk is prepared for the possibility of easy remote administration.
