A new CEN/ISSS Workshop in the field of eHealth entitled ?Interoperability of the electronic European Health Insurance Cards? (WS/eEHIC) was kicked-off on 24 April 2007. WS/eEHIC is proposed by the European Commission, DG Employment, acting as Secretariat of the Technical Commission on Data Processing (a sub-group of the Administrative Commission for Social Security for migrant Workers CA.SS.TM).

Czech Hospital Using HF RFID to Track Chemotherapy Drugs
Czech hospital is using radio frequency identification to track vials of expensive chemotherapy medication, in an effort to better manage the potentially dangerous process of mixing the medication with infusion solution in IV bags, as well as to ensure better treatment and increased safety for cancer patients.

Network and Information Security Standards Report
A team of experts who were contracted by CEN, under the technical supervision of the NISSG, the relevant sub-group of the ICT Standards Board have set up a report on Network and Information Security Standards which was approved by the NISSG meeting on 21 March 2007.
